The Georgia Tech Environmental Health and Safety Office is located at 490 Tenth Street - on the southeastern side of the intersection at Hemphill Avenue and Tenth Street. Links are provided below for a zoomable street level map and a zoomable satellite view of our building:

From Hartsfield International Airport and Points South of Atlanta
From Points North of Atlanta
From Points West of Atlanta
From Points East of Atlanta

From Hartsfield International Airport and Points South of Atlanta

  1. Take I-75/I-85 North through downtown Atlanta to the 14th Street/10th Street exit.
  2. Stay to the left on the exit ramp.
  3. Turn left at the first traffic light onto 10th Street.
  4. Proceed approximately 10 blocks until arriving at the intersection of 10th Street and Hemphill Avenue.
    The EHS Building (490 10th Street) will be visible on your left.
  5. Take a left on Hemphill Avenue, then take an immediate left into the parking lot beside the building.
    EHS has two (2) designated Visitor parking spaces available there.

From Points North of Atlanta

(Please note these are temporary directions due to the construction closing of the 14th Street exit)

  1. Take I-75 South to Exit 252 Northside Drive / Howell Mill.
  2. Upon exiting, stay left and DO NOT take the Howell Mill exit ramp to the immediate right.
  3. Immediately after passing the Howell Mill ramp, merge to the right and get onto the Northside Drive exit ramp.
  4. At the light, take a right onto Northside Drive. Stay in the left lane and travel approximately 1 mile until arriving at the intersection of Northside Drive and Hemphill Avenue (NOTE: Hemphill Avenue will be a slight left, indicated by a directional arrow stop light near 14th Street).
  5. Get on Hemphill Avenue and proceed approximately 0.5 miles until arriving at the intersection of Hemphill Avenue and 10th Street. The EHS Building (490 10th Street) will be visible across the intersection on your left.
  6. Proceed just through the 10th Street intersection and take an immediate left into the parking lot beside the building. EHS has two (2) designated Visitor parking spaces available there.

From Points West of Atlanta

  1. Take I-20 East to I-75/I-85 North.
  2. Take I-75/I-85 North through downtown Atlanta to the 14th Street/10th Street exit.
  3. Stay to the left on the exit ramp.
  4. Turn left at the first traffic light onto 10th Street.
  5. Proceed approximately 10 blocks until arriving at the intersection of 10th Street and Hemphill Avenue.
